VIDEOGRAPHY/CINEMATOGRAPHY

The dance with music. It becomes difficult when creating a music video to not find the the visuals become part of the music, cinematography in this sense becomes another instrument played and videography adds to the rhythm.

An ongoing theme throughout my work is the use of the individual as a vessel to relate and convey contextualised narrative, often through means of interview, videography and cinematography. A true passion of mine being photography of the individual, and as consequence the interrelation of person and context. These ideas have helped to cement wide scoping ideas within a frame and connect to an audience.

I created this piece as part of a wider project working within a team, the idea of the project was around awareness of bikes being stolen in London. Within which we devised mechanisms to connect people with their lost bicycles, riffing off the 'ghost bike' phenomenon. For me the project lacked the personal touch so I connected with an impassioned cyclist to gain better understanding of 'the love of bikes'.

The topic of ASMR, was picked out of a hat and as such we devised a way of communicating the 'autonomous sensory meridian response' to a visualisation. How might a person feel in public with this effect of the body. also wanting to play on the idea of all the sounds that are lost in the bustle of the every day.

Set the challenge of recreating a scene from a famous movie, we were given an antigravity wall running scene from the film 'inception' and a week to show what we could do under pressure.

Music video for a song that never got released.
